Hi! I’m Leela (she/they).
As a long time embodiment practitioner, I am a strong advocate for embodied healing, and love to offer skills and tools that help to deepen and enhance peoples relationships to themselves, others, and the world around them. At the root of my work is the belief that deep attunement to our bodies, our stories, and our magic is a liberation practice, a pleasure practice, a practice in re-claiming sovereignty and re-Membering belonging. I am rooted in a compassionate, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed practice that is gender affirming, anti-racist, and anti-capitalist. My sessions, classes, and events are friendly towards queer and trans folks, witches, people practicing ENM & polyamory, sex workers, and neurodivergence. |
I began teaching yoga in 2011 and later studied as a yoga therapist, offering classes, workshops, retreats and 1:1 sessions for over a decade. In 2017 I attended massage school and began my own private practice, offering therapeutic bodywork. In 2023 I graduated from Antioch University with a Masters in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling. I've been studying astrology and tarot since I was a teenager, but have formally studied with my teacher Adam Elenbaas, over the last four years.
My background includes contact improvisation, authentic movement, clowning, meditation, burlesque, ritual performance, song-catching, earth based spiritual practices, and animism.
Often, I'm in the woods, but sometimes venture out to a dance floor.
