Somatic Therapy
& Coaching

Therapy is a space for you to understand yourself better, gain transformational and effective tools for emotional resilience and healing, release old patterns that are no longer serving you, and step into a greater sense of holistic well-being.

Compassionate and trauma-informed, I weave together somatics, counseling, embodied parts work, imaginal practice, emotional freedom technique, and mindfulness

I will help you alchemize stress, trauma, grief, and pain and create a more loving, resilient, and embodied relationship to yourself and life.

My approach blends body, mind, and spirit - integrating nervous system and body based wisdom, spirituality, and counseling psychology to help to transform and empower your healing.

What People Are Saying

"Working with Leela has helped me understand myself better and heal old wounds and trauma from my past. Her somatic training has helped improve how I ground myself both in and out of our sessions. I have never worked with somebody as skilled as Leela. She has incredibly broad background. Beyond her work as a skilled somatic therapist her tools include, healing astrological readings and body work. I can’t recommend her enough! "

Elizabeth, Somatic Therapy & Coaching Client

"Leela provides a sacred container for deep healing during our sessions. Her ability to meet me as I am in each moment is otherworldly. With expansive love, curiosity and embodied wisdom, Leela guides me into my body where I most need to be in order to heal. Her gentle guidance and playful spirit have helped break down 40 years of brick wall defenses inside my soul. Leela is a magical gift and I’m so grateful to work with her. She has helped me learn that self compassion will not actually kill me. With humor and grace, Leela has introduced me to my committee of parts and allowed them to each be seen, held and eventually released. Through my work with Leela I have discovered my deep roots and am learning to honor and nourish them."

  • Parts Work is a therapeutic framework that honors the multidimensionality of being human. Getting to know, and working with, the different parts of ourselves can be incredibly potent for healing and self understanding. Embodied Parts Work utilizes body awareness, breath, movement, and play as a to explore and understand parts.

  • Somatics refers to the body and that which is of the body.  Somatics helps us to understand how emotions, thoughts, and experiences are held and expressed through the body - the body is the landscape through which we experience Life. I believe healing, liberation, empowerment, and change are made possible when we are in connection to our bodies. My frameworks for somatics include body awareness; movement practices such as somatic movement, yoga, and authentic movement; and tools and techniques for processing emotional energy through the body.

  • Drawing from Jung, depth psychology, and Indigenous ways of Knowing, imaginal practice  is a powerful way to connect with the subconscious through image, imagination, color, shapes, and sounds. It is akin to dreaming while awake and can have a potent and alchemical affect on the psyche.

  • Emotional Freedom Technique (aka EFT or Tapping) is a form of energy psychology that helps to transform and release challenging emotional energy and repattern harmful belief systems.

  • Drawing from elements old buddhism, buddhist psychology, and radical acceptance, mindfulness and meditation practices help us to meet the moment with more presence and equanimity. With mindfulness, we learn skillful ways to meet the moment without reacting in ways that causes us further suffering.
