About Leela Kelley, MA
I’m Leela — a somatic therapist, bodyworker, and guide with over 15 years rooted in the embodied healing arts. My approach is skilled and highly sensitive, blending deep grounded presence with a touch of humor and levity. I create nurturing, creative spaces where you can connect to your body, untangle your story, and reclaim your innate wholeness.
My journey into somatic healing began with my own experiences of anxiety, trauma, body dysmorphia, and disconnection. Since then, I’ve trained as a yoga teacher, built a bodywork practice, taught countless therapeutic movement classes, facilitated grief rituals, and most recently, integrated therapy and therapeutic coaching to support profound transformation from the inside out. Along the way, astrology, tarot, earth based spirituality, and buddhism have been trusted companions — practices I’ve explored since my teens that continue to deepen the magic and insight in my work.
At the heart of what I do is a simple belief: tuning into your body, your emotions, and your unique spirit is a radical act of liberation, joy, and reclaiming your sovereignty.
My practice is rooted in an anti-oppressive, intersectional queer feminist framework that welcomes people across many different identities and experiences. My approach to healing is deeply systemic and takes into account the systems of oppression that we live within and how they impact our ability to thrive, heal, and connect.
A life long mover, I love contact improvisation, ecstatic dance, and authentic movement. Creative practices are important to me; I write songs, play the guitar, experiment with vocal improv, dabble in ritual theater and clowning. As a gender expansive femme, my preferred pronoun is my name or she/they.
Outside of sessions, you’ll find me wandering in nature, wiggling on a dance floor, researching my latest interest, spending time with loved ones, and trying to befriend every cat I see.
